The girl that counts pennies
The girl has no money
so I let her count my pennies
For every hundred of my pounds counted
she gets one
Sometimes i get home
and she’s counted
maybe three or four hundred
pounds of my pennies
She puts her 1% cut
into her pot of pennies.
Sometimes she spends
it on chocolate
So when I sit upstairs drinking beer
and listening to free jazz
She sits on the floor
counting my money for sweets
