Rain stops play today, so planting schemes and art day today. Anyway, I guess it starts with this – i’ve had to change my palette as it’s starting to turn things a bit murky. However, I flipped it over and on the back was the previous palette. Being my detritus, naturally I found it interesting to see how my colour choices have changed over the last year or so. Also, if we’re being really arty I guess we could say that the abstract pictorial plane of the palette is a true representation of my emotions – unconscious mark making and colour choices = a pure abstract painting. Guffy yes, but possibly poignant. The flipside could also suggest that it trivialises abstract art, in particular anything adhered to abstract expressionism.pallette early to late 2014 pallette late 2014-early 2015
