In between skidaddling between some of my more rural clients I have recently been noticing loads of what looks like chives growing on road verges. So, today I stopped, got out and ate a bit. Tasted like chives. Looked like chives. Must be chives. It’s not chives, but it is edible. It’s called Crow garlic or Wild onion apparantly, which is novel. Anyway, I didn’t know about this little foragey treat. I knew about Wild garlic ie Ramsons which I collect in the spring to make pesto with, but now there is this to collect. All in all, this excites me greatly. I love stuff like this. It makes me very happy.
